Here's something to show for my lack of self discipline and laziness. Having left this blog undisturbed for much of the holidays, I find myself updating this damn thing when it's time to pick up the books again.
I've probably got the worst possible timetable EVER. (very likely scenario considering i've only had one sem before this, and last sem's timetable was quite good) No free days, 3 morning 9am-oh-i-am-so-tempted-to skip lectures, 1 hour breaks here and there and you cant do anything much constructive with those. There's only one module with webcast lectures this sem. Shucks. Alarm clock im counting on you.
DP's freakin ard the corner and not much luck with the sponsors. (yes, yes, joann, i know, we will call agn) 4 dance practices a week + every saturday piecing 1pm-7pm. And then there's the IHG. Squash first match againt KE on 21st. Hope i get to play as they're potential pushovers. And i want the ihg singlet, who can get it for me? Can trade for a white polo tee..heh
Im slightly glad that the dining hall is up and running again. No more overpriced fongseng stuff, or time wasting dinner trips. Dinner tonight was 5 sausages, tau gey, rice and mashed potatoes (a wtf combination), packed by jeremy. Tasted ok, but only because i was hungry. Then again, i guess it will only be a matter of time before i start complaining about the dining hall food again. And I kinda miss the ginza outings.
Now im gonna complain about the doomsday weather. People, its about time we should save the environment yah? Recycle paper, stop eating sharks fin, whatever. Here's why rain is bad. I can't walk to arts canteen without getting wet. When i walk in flops, dirty water flicks up and stains my shirt. The buses are almost definitely packed and slow moving. Temperatures are near subzero in LTs. Makes you wanna sleep when its time to study. Everywhere's muddy. If it's not muddy, it's slippery. Makes you feel gloomy, induces suicide. And im pissed and scared, just slightly, of thunder when im in deep sleep.
Sometimes we just take things for granted. Last sem, we complained that LT7a was smelly. Great, now we get LT7. No more cushioned chairs, no more sleeper friendly foldable tables. In return, we get hard backed plastic chairs, fixed wooden tables about half the size and yes, a chalk board. R-E-T-R-O proof that NUS is 100 years old. Worst thing is, the smell is still there. I am now enlightened by the punishments from the heavens. This shall be the last time i complain about the smelly dance studio. "The dance studio is so smelly!" Ok. No more.
Lastly, I am broke. The online survey pple: damn you, can you get back to me ? i've faxed the bloody agreement over already. CNY come quick (angpao money come also).
