Missing: Grey Bata Slippers

Damn! I lost my slippers in camp today. No.. It's ( I choose to use a capital "I" to signify Its importance!) not a small thing, nor a trivial issue, nor is It any ordinary pair of slippers. It's cheap, no doubt.. (about $2.99 from BATA) but It has got sentimental value. Yeah, BATA slippers with sentimental value. I've bought It before my enlistment, and It has been with me ever since.. Started from BMT, on to OCS, accompanied me through ROC, survived Brunei etc etc.. So you'd imagine the trauma I had today when I realised that It was missing. One point that left me pondering for the rest of the day: How did my slippers get missing from the S1 branch of a high security SAF camp with guards stationed round the clock? After some evaluation, I've ruled out several possibilites..

1. "The cleaning aunty threw it away by mistake." Can't be. My other shoes that I left beside my slippers are still around. (but I can't be too sure, better ask her tomorrow)

2. "I've brought it home." Nope, checked my house- nothing found and I've already got slippers at home.

3. " Someone borrowed it, forgot to tell me." Nobody responded to my "who took my slippers?" screams in office, so I guess it's not it.

4. "I've misplaced it" I still saw it the last time I was in office!

Which leaves me with only 2 other possibilities I can think of. Aliens kidnapped my slippers or some arsehole stole (borrowed, if you insist) it.

Hence, I would like to take this opportunity through my Blog to appeal to that alien or arsehole: GIVE ME BACK MY SLIPPERS!

Oh well, that spoils the day enough already. But as a routine, and since I'm still in the mood to blog, I'll list down some highlights of the day.

  • Morning run
  • Breakfast
  • Realised slippers lost when I wanted to bathe
  • Lunch
  • Dinner

What a lousy day.
